SM-ES3-24-P is the Service Modules f 2900/3900 series router to offer cost-efficiency solution to meet branch officeds small to midsize business offices needs with no requiring physical room. SM-ES3-24-P has identical switching capacity to catalyst 3560 series switch and provides 23 FastEthernet pts and 1 Gigabit Ethernet pt in IP base feature set image with POE capability which supplies up to 20 Watts per pt (ePOE). Cisco Energywise technology reduces the cost of power consumption by moniting and optimzing power delivery.

The Cisco Enhanced EtherSwitch Service Module runs independently of host router resource, it has their own processs, switching engines, flash memy and own upgradable IOS to ensure maximum concurrent switching and routing perfmance. The integration of Cisco Enhanced EtherSwitch Service Modules with existing router simplifies netwk management and troubleshooting, enhances scalability, offers investment protection and minimizes downtime that affects business operations.
